Original image mode places your picture inside a DOCX so the visual layout is preserved. Pictured text is not editable in this mode—it is still part of the image.
Editable text mode runs OCR, rebuilds headings, paragraphs, lists, and simple tables where possible, and exports real Word elements you can edit in Microsoft Word or Google Docs. Complex layouts often need corrections.
OCR can reconstruct recognizable structure—headings, paragraphs, bullet or numbered lists, and straightforward tables—when layout signals are clear.
It cannot guarantee fonts, exact spacing, multi-column order, or merged cells. Treat the result as a starting point and compare it with the source image.
In editable mode, open the Formatted tab to fix recognized text, change a block’s type, or edit table cells. Use Undo or Reset if needed, then Apply edits to DOCX before download.
Plain, Markdown, and HTML tabs help you check the corrected content. Exports are generated from your corrections, not from a separate unedited copy.
